Keep soil moist and at temperatures around 60-70°F (15-21°C) for germination, which takes 7-14 days. Once seedlings are large enough, transplant them outdoors in a sunny location with rich, well-drained soil. Space plants 18-24 inches apart. Broccoli 'Ramoso Calabrese' thrives in cool temperatures (55°F - 65°F/13°C - 18°C) and can tolerate light frost. Water regularly to keep soil evenly moist, and mulch to retain moisture and control weeds. Fertilize with a balanced fertilizer to support strong growth. Harvest when the main head is firm and the smaller side shoots begin to form, typically 80-100 days after sowing. Harvest the side shoots regularly to encourage continued production.
