- Light: Provide bright, indirect light. In the Gulf, morning sun is beneficial, but plants must be shielded from the harsh midday and afternoon sun to prevent yellowing or scorching.
- Temperature: This species thrives in warm to hot temperatures, making it well-suited for the region. Ideal ranges are 21–35°C (70–95°F).
- Humidity: High humidity (50–70%+) is essential. Use misting, humidifiers, or humidity trays (saucers with pebbles and water) to counteract the dry Gulf air.
- Watering: Water frequently—daily during summer—to keep roots hydrated. Allow roots to dry slightly between waterings.
- Potting & Airflow: These are epiphytic "air plants." They grow best in hanging wooden baskets or mounted on bark with little to no potting media. Ensure excellent air circulation to prevent rot.
- Propagation Note: It is extremely difficult to grow from seeds without flask culture; most home growers propagate by separating young "keikis" (baby plants) from the mother plant.
