1. Sow Indoors: Start seeds indoors 6–8 weeks before the last frost. Scatter seeds on the surface of moist, well-draining seed-starting mix and press them in lightly. Do not cover, as they need light to germinate.

2. Germination: Keep the soil at 65–70°F and moist. Germination takes about 10–21 days.

3. Light: Provide full sun for best growth.

4. Watering: Water sparingly, allowing the soil to dry between waterings. Creeping thyme is drought-tolerant once established.

5. Transplanting: Transplant outdoors after the last frost, spacing plants about 6–12 inches apart for ground cover.

Thymus serpyllum is great for adding a fragrant, aromatic touch to herb gardens, rockeries, or as a low-maintenance ground cover.
