How to Seed Amaranthus Joseph’s Coat (Amaranthus tricolor)

  1. Best Time to Sow (Gulf Region):

    • Outdoors: From October to February, when daytime temperatures are mild (18–28°C / 64–82°F).

    • Indoors or nursery trays: From December to February for early planting.

    • Avoid sowing from April to September, as high temperatures above 35°C reduce germination and cause weak growth.

  2. Sowing Depth:
    Scatter seeds on the surface of moist soil and lightly press — do not cover, as light helps germination.
    Seeds are very fine; mist gently to keep moist.

  3. Soil:
