Brown Bhut Jolokia, also known as Chocolate Ghost Pepper, is an extremely hot chili pepper, often exceeding 800,000–1,000,000+ Scoville Heat Units (SHU). It requires a long growing season and warm temperatures but should be protected from extreme Gulf summer heat. It grows well in gardens, greenhouses, large containers, and hydroponic systems.

Best Planting Time

• August to October (recommended for Gulf countries)
• January to February (for an early spring crop in protected environments)
• Avoid transplanting outdoors during periods above 40°C.

Seed Preparation

• Soak seeds in warm water (25–30°C) for 12–24 hours before sowing.
• Optional: soak in diluted seaweed extract or chamomile tea to encourage germination.
• No cold stratification is required.
