How to Seed Canna ‘Indian Shot’ Mix

1. When to Sow: Start seeds indoors in late winter to early spring, about 8–10 weeks before the last frost. In warm climates, they can also be sown directly outdoors after frost danger has passed.

2. Seed Preparation: Canna seeds have a hard coat. Scarify (nick with a file or sandpaper) and soak seeds in warm water for 24 hours before sowing to improve germination.

3. Soil: Use a rich, moist, well-drained potting mix.

4. Sowing: Sow seeds about 1–2 cm deep in pots or trays.

5. Watering: Keep soil consistently moist but not waterlogged.
