How to Seed Clary Sage “Blue Monday” (Salvia horminum)

1. Sowing Time:
   Sow indoors from February to April, or directly outdoors after the last frost in late spring (April–May).

2. Sowing Depth:
   Scatter the seeds on the surface of moist soil and press them lightly — do not cover them, as light helps with germination.

3. Soil:
   Use well-drained, fertile soil enriched with compost or organic matter. Clary Sage prefers soil that stays moist but not soggy.

4. Light & Temperature:
   Place the seeds in a bright, warm spot with a temperature around 18–22 °C (65–72 °F).

5. Germination Time:
   Seeds usually germinate within 10–20 days under warm, bright conditions.

6. Transplanting:
   When seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant them carefully into pots or the garden, spacing 25–30 cm apart.
