Sow Outdoors: Directly sow seeds outdoors in early spring after the last frost. Plant seeds about 1/4 inch deep and space them about 1 inch apart.
Germination: Keep the soil consistently moist. Germination typically occurs in 7–14 days.
Thinning: Once seedlings are a few inches tall, thin them to 6–8 inches apart to allow for proper growth.
Sunlight and Care: Flax prefers full sun and well-drained soil. Water moderately, especially during dry periods, but avoid overwatering. Flax is relatively low-maintenance and can tolerate drought once established.
Common Flax is prized for its beautiful blue flowers and is also the source of flaxseed oil. It's great for wildflower meadows, cut flowers, or adding texture to flower beds.
