How to Seed Cucumber ‘Partner’ F1 (Cucumis sativus)

1. When to Sow: Sow indoors in spring (April–May), about 3–4 weeks before the last frost. In warm climates, sow directly outdoors once the soil is warm and frost-free.

2. Soil: Prefers fertile, well-drained soil enriched with compost, in a sunny, sheltered location.

3. Sowing: Sow seeds 1–2 cm deep in pots or trays. For outdoor sowing, place 2–3 seeds together, spacing plants 45–60 cm apart.

4. Watering: Keep soil evenly moist but avoid waterlogging. Water at the base to prevent leaf diseases.

5. Germination: Takes 7–10 days at 20–25 °C.

6. Transplanting: When seedlings are strong and frost has passed, harden off and transplant them to their final growing positions.

7. Care: Train plants on a trellis or support. Feed with a potassium-rich fertilizer once flowering begins to boost fruiting.

8. Harvesting: Pick cucumbers regularly when they reach 15–20 cm long to encourage continuous production.
