1. Ideal Temperature (Gulf Area)

• Day: 24–28°C

• Night: 18–22°C

• Avoid temperatures above 32°C, especially during germination.

2. Humidity & Light

• Humidity: 70–85%

• Light: bright filtered light, no direct sun.

• Use a humidity dome or mini greenhouse.

3. Sowing Method

• Sterilize seeds using weak bleach solution (1–2%) for 3–5 minutes, then rinse with sterilized water.

• Inside a sterile environment:

  • Open flask or jar with orchid medium.

  • Sprinkle seeds gently onto the surface.

  • Seal tightly.

4. Germination Time

• 6–12 weeks to form protocorms.

• Seedlings stay in flasks for 9–12 months.

5. Deflasking & Growing

• Remove seedlings only when they have 2–3 roots at least 2 cm long.

• Pot in a mix of fine bark + sphagnum moss.

• Keep humidity high (70%) for the first 2–3 weeks.

• Gradually introduce stronger light.
