Green Zebra Tomato is a unique heirloom variety famous for its bright green fruits with distinctive yellow stripes. Fruits typically weigh 80–150 g and have a refreshing, sweet-tart flavor with firm, juicy flesh. Unlike most tomatoes, Green Zebra remains green when ripe, developing golden-yellow stripes and a slight amber blush. It is excellent for fresh salads, slicing, gourmet dishes, salsa, roasting, and decorative presentations. This vigorous indeterminate variety produces continuously throughout the growing season and performs exceptionally well in the Gulf region when planted during the cooler months. It is suitable for gardens, greenhouses, raised beds, large containers, and hydroponic systems.

Seed Preparation

Sowing Method

• Transplant seedlings when they have:

Harvesting

• Harvest begins:

• Harvest fruits when the green skin develops golden-yellow stripes and the fruit becomes slightly soft when gently pressed.

Gulf Climate Tips

• Plant during August to October for the highest yields.
• Support plants with sturdy stakes, cages, or trellises since this is an indeterminate variety.
• Remove lower leaves and excessive side shoots to improve airflow and reduce disease pressure.
• Fertilize every 2 weeks with a balanced fertilizer during vegetative growth, then switch to a fertilizer higher in potassium and phosphorus during flowering and fruiting.
