Mimosa Melon is a high-quality hybrid muskmelon (Cucumis melo) developed for excellent sweetness, attractive appearance, and vigorous growth. It performs very well in the Gulf region when grown during the cooler growing seasons. It is suitable for open fields, greenhouses, raised beds, and large containers.
Best Planting Time
- Best sowing time in the Gulf:
- February to April (Spring crop)
- August to October (Autumn/Winter crop – recommended)
- Avoid sowing during periods when daytime temperatures exceed 40°C.
Seed Preparation
- Soak seeds in lukewarm water for 6–12 hours before planting.
- No cold stratification is required.
Soil Preparation
Use fertile, well-drained sandy loam soil rich in organic matter.
Recommended mix:
- 40% Garden soil
- 30% Compost
- 20% Coco peat
- 10% Perlite or coarse sand

Sowing Method
