How to Seed Squash ‘Uchiki Kuri’ (Cucurbita maxima)

1. Sow indoors 3–4 weeks before the last frost, or outdoors after soil is warm.

2. Plant seeds 2–3 cm deep, 2–3 per hill, then thin to 1 plant.

3. Space plants 90–120 cm apart to allow vines to spread.

4. Germination in 7–10 days at 18–25 °C.

5. Keep soil rich, moist, and add compost.

6. Harvest after 90–100 days when skin turns deep orange and hard.
