How to Seed Standing Cypress (Ipomopsis rubra)

1. Sow directly outdoors in spring or autumn, as plants do not like transplanting.

2. Choose well-drained, sandy or rocky soil in full sun.

3. Sow seeds on the surface and press gently, covering very lightly with soil (about 0.5 cm).

4. Keep soil lightly moist until germination.

5. Germination takes 21–30 days at 18–22 °C.

6. Thin seedlings to 30–45 cm apart once established.

7. Minimal care needed — drought-tolerant and self-seeds easily.
