How to Seed Sweet Pea Perfume “Promise” (Lathyrus odoratus)

1. Sowing Time:
   Sow indoors from January to April, or directly outdoors in autumn (September–October) or early spring once the soil is workable. Early sowing produces stronger plants and earlier blooms.

2. Seed Preparation:
   Sweet pea seeds have a hard coat. To improve germination, soak seeds in warm water for 12–24 hours before sowing, or gently nick the seed coat with a nail file.

3. Sowing Depth:
   Sow seeds 2–3 cm deep in moist, well-drained seed compost or garden soil.

4. Soil:
